  • You will perform maintenance, inspection, and disposal duties, to ensure security on wastewater collection systems and lift statements including; collection lines, junctures, pumps and motors, mains, lateral lines, sewer lines, and manholes.
  • You will install, modify, repair, and maintain new and existing pipelines on main and lateral lines of the wastewater collection system.
  • You will monitor and record lift station operation including; flow rates, pump hours, electrical and telemetry problems.
  • You will interpret manufacturer specifications, shop manuals, or system histories to diagnose, repair, and maintain water treatment plant equipment.
  • You will use equipment to determine concentration of hazardous gases and oxygen deficiencies in manholes and other confined spaces.
  • You will drive and operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 26,000 pounds including a sewer cleaning trucks and forklifts, along with a variety of vehicles and equipment in the performance of daily duties.
  • You will operate a government vehicle to travel to and from work sites, check pumping stations, haul chemicals, tools and equipment, or to make repairs.
  • You will perform permit required confined space entries into wet wells, manholes, vaults, and other assigned areas.

  • This is a shift position and may require working weekends, holidays, overtime and during 2nd and 3rd shift.
  • You must possess a valid State of California Commercial Class B driver's license with endorsements for Air Brake and Tank Vehicle. A valid State of California Commercial driver's license, Class A with appropriate endorsement can be substituted.
