Description :The Project Manager will interpret the scope of a new contract as defined by sales and management, coordinate and manage projects from concept through completion, develop and maintain a baseline schedule, adhere to an established budget and interact with the customer on a regular basis.Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans to track progress, manage the project schedule, and ensure timely completion. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all projects are delivered within the allocated financial resources. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the best use of resources.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and purchasing materials and equipment required for project execution. Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and project specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to manage and minimize impact on the project timeline and budget.
  • Quality Control: Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and safety guidelines. Will also be responsible for the end Data Book compilation and completion that meets the customer’s requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, team members, suppliers, and contractors. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and adjustments.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all project activities comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the project team.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report project status, progress, and critical issues to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely information flow. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and final reports, to facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization and with clients.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Preferred: Certified Associate in PMP or PMP, preferred
  • Preferred: 4-year college degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years experience associated with project management of manufactured and fabricated offshore drilling and production equipment, or similar equipment
  • Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft word, Excel, and Project
  • Knowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systems
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Experienced in machine shop/welding environment
  • Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Team oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
