- Managing and facilitating the S&OP and S&OE processes across different Lines of Businesses (LOBs).
- Owning and gaining alignment on the consensus demand plan that is driving the supply plan.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
- Communicating decisions to stakeholders and identifying and resolving plan variances, risk, and opportunities at the regional and system level.
- Evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, transportation delays, and capacity constraints.
- Serve as the point-person for escalation of portfolio and risk-related issues.
- Partners with sales and logistic teams to evaluate forward inventory positions.
- Manage team of planners to continually assess operational network planning assumptions in conjunction with procurement, planning, manufacturing operations and logistics/warehousing, including safety stocks, lead times, order quantities, production strategy, and cycle times.
- Lead the development and maintenance of supply chain solutions that meet the business profit expectations for a large complex mill system.
- Identify and implement new business critical metrics and processes that enhance measures around speed, delivery performance, and cost and measure the consequential improvement over time.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by implementing strategies that reduce cost and safely provide competitive advantage.
- Supporting the annual and strategic planning and direction setting for the planning teams and supply chain function.
- Provides team leadership including employee coaching / development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact supply chain operations.
- 4-year degree required, bachelor's degree in business management, Engineering, Business Supply Chain, or other related technical degree.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or inventory management, preferably in the wood products industry or a related manufacturing sector.
- 8+ years’ experience Wood Products or Supply Chain experience in related field that includes demand/ supply planning, and customer service experience. Understanding of end-to-end planning and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. SAP Experience preferred.
- Ability to use Power BI / Excel / SQL or equivalent.
