Job Description:SUMMARYEnsure the efficient and safe transportation of guests and employees to and from the casino property. Provide exceptional customer service to guests.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIncludes the following:
  • Provides secure transportation of hotel/casino guests by driving a company owned/leased vehicle to and from the property.
  • Assists guests with luggage and/or other items such as wheel chairs, etc.
  • Maintains a trip log on a per trip basis. Record drivers' names, dates of run, odometer reading, time of departure, and return time.
  • Maintains a daily pre-trip inspection and maintenance logs. Report any issues with the assigned vehicle that might pose a public risk or vehicular risk to their immediate Supervisor/Manager.
  • Keeps vehicles in peak operational condition. Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle inside and out as well as stocks any provisions requested by guests.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of active promotions, events, and casino statistics to be able to provide information to the guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • May require extended trips for special events requiring irregular hours.
  • Maintains knowledge of state and federal driving laws as well as licensing requirements to transport passengers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITYNo supervisory/management authority.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have Chauffeur or CDL license with passenger endorsement.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to speak effectively and confidently to customers.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork will be performed in a mobile vehicle. Requires handling of average weight objects of up to 25 lbs. Requires long hours of sitting. Must have good vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Occasionally requires the ability to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Requires specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work involves almost constant exposure to motion, varying temperatures, and/or loud noises and may involve some exposure to physical risks that require following basic safety precautions.NOTE, this job is a safety sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements.
