Full Time,Varied Shifts 730a-4p when not assigned to cover vacancies. Variable shifts when assigned 630a-11pObtains and documents accurate information to complete the admitting and/or registration process based on assigned department. Floats between all Patient Access departments to provide coverage based on need.Requirements:
  • 0 to 6 months experience
  • High School or GED
Responsibilities:1. Accurately collect demographic and financial data, define and educate patients on financial responsibilities and complete insurance verification on designated patients.
2. Schedule patient appointments for the respective site, where indicated
3. Coordination of activities related to admission of patients including, but not limited to, any regulatory forms and registration of outpatient/ED patients for hospital services and coordinating clinical placement (to include bed placement).
4. Utilizes superior customer service skills to perform daily administrative duties to include greeting and checkâ€'in of patients while demonstrates sensitivity to the patient's comfort, confidentiality and concerns.
5. Provides patient education, Advance Directives, Patient's Rights, Consents and Medicare Important Message forms to patients at the time of admitting and/or registration process, obtains signatures from appropriate consenting party on all necessary forms, and scans all forms into Meditech, as needed.
6. Collection of coâ€'pays, patient balances, posting payment and adjustment transactions, and balancing daily journal, depending on site
7. Competent in registration software systems for Core and Exeter Hospital departments.
8. Transitions between all Patient Access departments to provide coverage.
9. Assists with daily quality control.
