Class Summary.
The Part-time Clerk is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative support duties and providing critical support to the daily operations of Gwinnett County Senior Services.Essential Duties
  • Performs a variety of clerical functions, which may include typing, answering phones from the public and legal community, filing, copying, faxing, opening and distributing mail, and/or performing other related activities.
  • Must be flexible and have excellent communication skills.
  • Driving a county vehicle to support in-home services as required.
  • Record keeping, data entry, and filing.
  • Other duties of a similar nature or level.
Other Job Requirements/InformationThis job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.This position will require fingerprinting. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residency.
  • CPR, First Aid Certified (must attain with the first six (6) months of employment or at the discretion of the department)
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of administrative support or related office experience.
  • Previous work with seniors.
