Elected Office / Department: YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAM MGMTUsing Wraparound values, principles and practices, the Wraparound Facilitator provides intensive, supportive interventions for identified families; Specializing in court involved youth for truancy.The Douglas County Wraparound program exists as it differs from many service delivery strategies, in that it provides a comprehensive, holistic, youth and family-driven way of responding when children or youth experience multi system involvement and or significant stressors.The WrapAround process is led by a Facilitator who brings multiple systems together with the child/youth, family and their natural supports to create a highly individualized plan to address complex needs. The goals of WrapAround are to meet the needs prioritized by youth and family, improve their ability and confidence to manage their own services and supports, develop or strengthen their natural supports, and integrate the work of all child/family serving systems and natural supports into one streamlined plan. WrapAround is an evidence-based practice. A WrapAround Facilitator engages all participants and the role can be complicated, as it is beyond the usual one-discipline focus, as it seeks to incorporate all aspects of a child's or youth's growth.Generally, the hiring range is $22.56-$28.20 hourly. - Through the Wrap process, teams create plans to meet the complex needs of youth in court for truancy. WrapAround team members, the child/youth, parents/caregivers, other family and community members, mental health professionals, educators, CASA, GAL'S and others, meet regularly to design, implement, and monitor a plan to meet the unique needs of the child and family.
- Provide leadership for all aspects of the Douglas County WrapAround program under the direction of the Youth Services Program Manager (YSPM) of the Douglas County Youth Initiative. Facilitators will facilitate Wrap meetings, including composing the family-centered WrapAround Team, act as an advocate for the family, lead the group through action plan generation, assist with assignment of action items, identify community resources for individual plans, and provide the family with the plan for their follow-through.
- In conjunction with the YSPM, Facilitators help develop protocols, guidelines and formats for the management, quality control and ongoing evaluation of the WrapAround process.
- Identify, recruit, orient and support a broad variety of community resources and other potential supports for Wrap staffing and service provision.
- Receive referrals to the Wrap process and conduct assessments of strengths and needs.
- Facilitate Wrap staffing meetings, including helping recruit members to the family-centered WrapAround Family Team, acting as an advocate for the family, leading the group through action plan creation, assisting with identification of community resources for individual plans, and providing the family and team with a written plan for their follow-through.
- Document all case activities and maintain resulting client records.
- Participate in program evaluations, including analysis of client feedback forms and performance measures.
- Participate in professional development related to WrapAround.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field is preferred.
- Two years of progressively responsible human services experience and WrapAround work, or related field.
- Knowledge of and belief in the principles of WrapAround is a plus.
- Knowledge of Douglas County resources and Metro resources is a plus.
- Knowledge of truancy/chronic absenteeism, and GED process also a plus.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with Douglas County community resources.
- Knowledge of WrapAround methodology
- Knowledge of interviewing techniques sufficient to elicit information.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention theory enough to be able to perform the duties related to the work assignment.
- Understands and interprets written material including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables and applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
- Experience working with children and families with complex needs.
- Experience working autonomously.
- Demonstrated facilitation and delegation skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and team-building skills.
- Recognizes and use correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, communicates information in a succinct and organized manner, produces written information which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite products at intermediate level.
- Comfortable with virtual meeting platforms.
- Proven ability to work with both formal and informal service systems and to build partnerships in the community.
- Shows understanding, courtesy, tact, empathy, and concern, develops and maintains relationships, may deal with people who are difficult, hostile, and/or distressed, relates well to people from varied backgrounds and situations, and is sensitive to individual differences.

- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
