- Support a wide variety of projects involving environmental investigations and remediation activities;
- Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system O&M;
- Coordinate and implement field projects, oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling, and overseeing treatment system operations;
- Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
- Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; and
- Interface directly with project internal and external personnel including, but not limited to, principals, business operations personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.

- Fieldwork: Up to 30%
- Overnight travel: up to 20%
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related degree (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Geologist in Training (GIT) certification or on track to obtain GIT. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of professional services consulting experience that includes environmental field investigation, construction monitoring in the field, execution of Phase I/Phase II environmental assessments, evaluation of environmental data, and presentation of technical solutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
- Prior internship experience in consulting. (preferred)
- Observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling and logging using the USCS classification, groundwater sampling, and other field techniques. (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (required)
- Demonstrated strong interest in contaminant remediation and/or quantitative hydrogeology. (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task and take directions with willingness to support multiple projects simultaneously. (required)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Minimum: $66,560/year / Maximum: $78,745/year or Minimum: $25.06/hour / Maximum: $32.00/hour (Fresno)
- Minimum: $66,560/year / Maximum: $82,495/year or Minimum: $26.25/hour / Maximum: $32.00/hour (Sacramento)
