Pay- $17/hrPosition SnapshotEnvironmental Technicians identify, collect, transport, process, package and prepare hazardous and universal wastes, recyclables and solid waste for storage and disposal. You’ll play an integral role in supporting the Project Manager onsite.Job ResponsibilitiesSuit up in your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Conduct inspections onsite and share your findings with the Project ManagerCollect, load and containerize materials, and prepare them for storage or shipmentOperate a forklift (or similar equipment) to load, unload and move materialsCheck on waste containers throughout the facility (you’ll notify your Project Manager when containers are full, or if shipments are required)Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferred Certifications: 40 Hour HAZWOPER, 8 Hour HAZWOPER, DOT, RCRARelevant experience in the environmental industry preferredModerate computer skills (Microsoft Suite)Valid driver’s licenseForklift certification/license preferredAbility to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screeningComfort wearing a respirator if needed.Responsible for assisting in the collection, identification and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste as well as administrative duties at the client site as well as spill response activities on site.
