- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Perform daily hotel room inspections.
- Document maintenance needs and notify necessary staff.
- Coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping on completed maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as well as take required readings on equipment.
- Display ability to read standard blue-prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, furniture, kitchen equipment, swimming pool/ spa, sheet rock/ wall coverings, replace electrical switches and outlets, program TV's, and program hotel electronic lock systems.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, lift heavy equipment, and work in various weather conditions
- 1 year experience in the one of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, energy conservation, and/or general building.
