- Review FAA data bases and provide input and or draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
- Conduct site surveys to provide input and/or draft Site Survey Reports.
- Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.
- Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).
- Generate and/or update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.
- Draft project plans for site preparation activities.
- Coordinate scheduled outages with SSC, Air Traffic and Operations personnel.
- Develop transition plans.
- Resolve schedule conflicts.
- Accompany unbadged personnel at facilities.
- Work with LECs on schedules.
- Develop briefings/information/reports on District status.
- Work with other Districts/SSC on interstate service flows, transitions, cutovers, planning, etc.
- Support District POC and SSCs with day-to-day work activities.
- Review and provide comments on Verizon Site Specific Implementation Plans (SSIP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree. Additional experience may be substituted/considered/accepted in lieu of degree.
- Ability to travel 25%-50%.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suites.
- 2+ years of experience working with Telco systems performing Network Troubleshooting.
- Proficient working with AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards, National Airspace System Equipment Tower.
- Knowledge of OSHA and general construction and electrical safety standards.
- Knowledge of NAS facilities such as ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, RCAG.
