The Secretary is responsible for providing administrative and related office services for St Elizabeth ChurchReports to: Pastor, Business Manager Classification: Non-ExemptPosition Summary· Manages office operations for the Pastor including managing communication to parishioners and the public, scheduling appointments, processing mail, record keeping, and other administrative duties.· Schedules parish facilities and coordinates use of rooms, etc.· Oversees the timely opening and secure closing of the office each day.· Maintains and orders inventory of office supplies.· Assists Pastor in coordination of parish staff activities and committees including scheduling meetings, and providing administrative support.· Responsible for coordination of scheduling of weddings, funerals, and other events.· Maintains a sacramental record keeping system recording weddings, baptisms, funerals and other sacramental events.· Maintains Parish Data System.· Participates in outreach and welcoming ministry, assisting in inviting, welcoming and registering new parishioners.· Maintains a neat and orderly lobby area· Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications· Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community preferred.· High school graduate or equivalent.· 3 years of administrative support experience.· Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.· Must be computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.· Ability to solve practical problems while dealing with a variety of concrete variables and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Other Job RequirementsPhysical requirements· Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items.Scheduling requirements· Entails periodic evening and weekend work.Employment Type: Full TimeCompensation: $16.00 to $18.50 / HourlyTo begin the application process, click Apply
