- Compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information to produce statements, schedules, filings, and reports of a complex nature.
- Responsible for the complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for the development of financial statements and reports.
- Assists with analysis in support of annual budget process, expense forecasts, and variance explanations.
- Conducts special studies and develops and implements accounting methods and procedures.
- Manages relationship between the accounting group and other departments, locations, divisions, and external customers, including MGA and Reinsurance reporting.
- Provides technical advice to lower-level positions and other functional areas.
- May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Monitors the inbox for and responds to report requests. Prepares and delivers all reports and analysis, if required, per deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
