- Understand the importance of, and adhere to, Four Star/Four Diamond and Preferred service standards.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown including, but not limited to, polishing silverware, setting tables, setting up buffets, and post-event clean up.
- Communicate effectively with Culinary staff to ensure timely and correct delivery of food.
- Follow appropriate service sequences and timing protocols.
- Perform wine service and request guest identification when legal drinking age is in question.
- Work proactively and professionally to ensure overall guest satisfaction, and direct any issues/concerns to Banquet management.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Previous customer service experience required. Previous Banquet or serving experience in a luxury hospitality setting highly preferred.
- Must be able to carry a tray and walk with up to 10 serving plates (or 20 dishes and silverware) at a time.
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
- Must have flexible availability and be able to work weekends and holidays.
