- Plan, organize, coordinate and control projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements approved by the company.
- Leader in approving all schedules, equipment plans, financial projections, cost-to-complete and project status reports for the duration of the project.
- Maintains exceptional relationships with owners, subcontractors and 3rd Parties.
- Responsible for problem resolution involving potential barriers to starting work on time.
- Ability to execute field construction activities in conformance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
- 11 years of experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects, with a self-performing general contractor
- Demonstrated strong decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills with ability to remain calm while taking charge in critical situations.
- Certification in project management suggested, for example, Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Proficient in some of the following: Word, Excel, Primavera , HCSS Safety.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- Experience in managing risk.
