- Update the meristem.pro and tapautism.org websites in WordPress.
- Layout and distribute the Meristem Monitor, a weekly email newsletter to Meristem families and staff.
- Coordinate bi-monthly email newsletters for Meristem and TAP (a job seeker and employer outreach program).
- Maintain and update email distribution lists.
- Manage a content calendar for Meristem’s social media with support from a marketing contractor.
- Post regularly to Meristem’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and respond to comments/direct messages.
- Capture original photography and video, primarily for the web and social media.
- Edit video footage into reels and other short form content.
- Oversee distribution Meristem’s podcast, Voices of Community.
- Use discretion to flag potential brand and reputation issues for Meristem’s leadership team.
- Contribute to emergency/crisis communications response protocols
- Design and format quarterly board PowerPoints.
- Oversee Meristem collateral and branded material and coordinate reorders.
- Contribute to student enrollment, scholarship, and employer outreach strategies.
- Event and Social Enterprise Marketing
- Design event flyers and digital graphics for campus events.
- Creatively implement event marketing to meet attendance and revenue goals
- Post events to regional calendars.
- Own marketing and sponsorship benefits for major Meristem annual events, including Big Day of Giving, Awaken the Possible, alumni engagement events, the Move Conference, and Feast of the Wreaths.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and collateral to help Meristem’s social enterprises, a Cafe, Herbal Arts Product Sales, and on-campus B&B, have a consistent look and feel and meet revenue goals.
- Attend events, occasionally on nights and weekends, to capture photography, live post updates on social media.
- Represent Meristem and the Transformative Autism Program to the general public at tabling events, as requested.
- Development Team Support
- Act as a collaborative contributor to the Development Team to support Meristem’s strategic goals to engage with donors, grant funders, board members, volunteers, partner organizations, employers, parents, alumni, and other key audiences.
- Update agendas for weekly marketing meetings, share proactive updates with internal stakeholders across departments.
- Attend Meristem community gatherings like Morning Circle, “story worthy” classes, and events organized by Meristem or external partners for social media promotion.
- Proactively offer ideas for process and outcome improvements.
- Coordinate with designated marketing contractors on special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in a corporate, agency, or non-profit marketing or design role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a corporate, agency, or non-profit marketing or design role.
- Lived experience with or interest in a participant population similar to Meristem (neurodiverse/autistic).
- Experience with WordPress CMS and email marketing tools like Constant Contact, including SEO and web accessibility standards.
- Experience with graphic design principles and tools like the Adobe Suite and Canva, including video editing software.
- Able to work in Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) and customer relationship management databases (EveryAction).
- Knowledge of social media best practices.
- Experience with WordPress CMS and email marketing tools like Constant Contact, including SEO and web accessibility standards.
- Experience with graphic design principles and tools like the Adobe Suite and Canva, including video editing software.
- Able to work in Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) and customer relationship management databases (EveryAction).

- Strong visual and written communication skills.
- Be able to give and receive constructive feedback from team members.
- Engage in research and evidence based assessment of marketing strategies.
- Able to think of creative solutions in evolving situations.
- The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to move in uneven terrain on our campus as needed to capture content.
- The ability to sit at a desk, answer the phone, and use the computer for up to 8 hours a day.
