- Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
- Plan and teache exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen.
- Monitor patient's response and revises plan accordingly.
- Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise.
- Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
- Provide exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classes.
- Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Prepare, develop, and maintain various files, records, reports; schedules patient appointments as required.
- Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Florida Board of Athletic Training preferred.
- Certification specializing in Sports Medicine preferred.
- Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
