Our Team:This role reports into the Global Medical Affairs Immunology team that is part of the Medical Affairs Specialty Care organization.
Our Medical Affairs function serves as a key strategic partner with commercial, regulatory, clinical, and market access on therapeutic solutions to support patients’ needs.
Within the Global Medical Affairs Immunology team, we are proud to support Sanofi’s unrelenting commitment to scientific exploration and to work on a first-in-class treatment and robust pipeline of potential new medicines for chronic dermatologic, respiratory, rheumatologic, and gastrointestinal diseases.Main responsibilities:The Global Medical Director will lead the development and implementation of cross-indication initiatives to support the successful launch of Amlitelimab (anti-OX40L) across disease areas.Develop and optimize highly efficient integrated amlitelimab medical pre-launch strategy aligned with global framework and in support of execution in key marketsProvide leadership and strategic direction to local Medical Affairs teams on launch preparation, educational, and training activities for amlitelimabBe the interface of information from the amlitelimab global medical team for all pre-launch activities and represent the countries in global forums to bring their perspectivesCoordinate the launch excellence plans for amlitelimab and oversee the timely execution of key launch activitiesInform all major stakeholders of local unmet medical needs and facilitate appropriate evidence generation activities to address themCollect and report the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to pre-launch activitiesLead and share pre-launch best practices between countriesWork effectively within the established corporate and industry compliance guidelinesABOUT YOUEducation:Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (M.D., PhD or PharmD)Experience:Significant immunology (dermatology, respiratory, and/or gastroenterology) therapeutic area experience requiredExperience in clinical development and/or medical affairs on a global or regional levelExperience in both clinical research and patient careDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environmentProficient in public speaking5+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry or equivalent Dermatology related experienceDemonstrated commitment to innovationExperience working collaboratively and cross-functionally with medical, global brand teams, market research, sales, managed markets, sales operations, business development, regulatory, research & development, manufacturing, finance and legalSkills and behaviors:Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skillsHigh aspiration to play an entrepreneurial role, cultivate innovative thinking, showing passion, compassion and agilityResilience and ability to challenges the status quoStrong business ethicsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to lead in an ambiguous environment across different functions and company culturesAnalytic and synthetic capacity with the ability to understand and simplifyAbility to chart a path and get from strategy to execution, successfully and quickly, amidst ambiguity and changePerformance orientation and ability to work and deliver along agreed timelineBetter is out there.
