Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a Full Time Senior Accountant for its Finance Department.Job Duties:The Senior Accountant is responsible for the overall financial activities and a function of a major not-for-profit social service organization includes analytical review of general ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.Job Requirements:The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field; and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a professional accounting, business management, and/or auditing setting that demonstrates an understanding of generally accepted accounting and auditing principles. (Position also requires excellent knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access, and the ability to rapidly learn and use the Agency’s data financial system to ensure timely and accurate closings of the Agency’s financial system.)If you are a qualified candidate, please submit a cover letter and a resume online.
