Job Description:Provide support, communication, and record keeping during the MRB process; Assist with the development of customer reports for nonconforming hardware; Work independently or as a team member, under supervision of quality management, in the daily execution of tasks necessary to meet quality and scheduledgoals of the company.Job Function:Reporting to the Quality Manager, the MRB Technician will evaluate and process nonconforming hardware as well as maintain and improve the quality management system through research and documentation of root cause and action taken to prevent reoccurrence of nonconformance.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage MRB process and flow of product in and out of MRB
  • Manage production control tracking (documentation & physical moving) of MRB product to help expedite shipments
  • Maintain necessary data entry into systems to assure proper record keeping of nonconformance, inspection results, etc.
  • File deviations, inspections, and any other quality documents appropriately
  • Ensure dispositioned hardware is returned or delivered to the appropriate department and identified per procedure
  • Work closely with Quality Engineering to accurately document root cause and corrective action and to assist in the identification of trends from data
  • Maintain 6S of MRB storage area and compliance to internal quality procedures
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required
  • Must be able to work required hours to ensure delivery of customer product (May require staying past normal scheduled hours and weekends)
  • Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent- Documentation required
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)- Documentation required
  • An understanding of company products and processes
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints and other customer supplied information
  • Ability to process and communicate information using Microsoft Office software
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes high morale, teamwork, pride, productivity, and excellent quality
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned tasks and interpret results of inspection
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required in English - this person will communicate with the customer regularly
  • Ability to present in a competent efficient manner in dealing with the various levels of company personnel
  • Must have a competitive spirit and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Must be well organized and be able to multi-task
  • MTI is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment drug testing will be required.
Preferable Experience:
  • Knowledge of standard gauges: micrometers, height gauges, calipers etc.
  • Prior experience in aerospace industry
Physical Demands/Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about the facilities, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. The employee must frequently lift/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment.
