Clinical Administrative Assistant for Physical Therapy

- Support clinical staff in physical therapy, serving as the initial and final point of contact for patients/clients.
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record System (EHR) for efficient patient scheduling and management.
- Manage reception area to ensure smooth operations and effective communication between reception and treatment areas.
- Administer surveys and questionnaires as required and assist with patient check-out procedures.
- Process payments for physical therapy invoices using P card procedures and handle other related tasks.
- Provide administrative support to the supervisor, including scheduling coordination and assistance with administrative duties.
- Support all staff by tracking time and visit-sensitive information, and assisting with billing and data entry responsibilities.
- Formal training beyond High School of six months to one year in a health-related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience providing support in a high-demand, high-volume office setting with in-person customer interactions.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in electronic health record systems being highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Effective customer service skills and ability to interact with individuals in emotional or physical distress or crisis.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding health records.
- Diplomacy in handling various situations and a strong customer service orientation.
- Previous work experience with college-age population.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of the Cornell community.
