- Responsible for installation, integration, and troubleshooting PLCs
- Responsible for integration of sensors and vision systems into existing processes.
- Provide specialized controls and troubleshooting support for hardware and software.
- Coordinate training department on new systems/features implemented on machines and conduct training for the maintenance team.
- Coordinate, implement, validate, and document hardware and software changes to the control systems in accordance with the change management procedure.
- Coordinate and support local and central project teams for machine install projects in all acceptance phases, ensuring the function and electrical specifications of new machines.
- Analyze data from machines to find bugs in the software and implement patches.
- Plan and execute projects to upgrade legacy equipment, while collaborating with local and central resources and contractors to ensure timelines and budget are met.
- Backup, protect, and maintain the software of control systems. Create training documents on machine functions to support new features implemented.
- Document changes made in controls systems including schematics, program and process documentation.
- Present weekly updates on current projects to the team and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment with troubleshooting PLC's (Allen Bradley) programs
- Experience using industrial networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP; IOLink
- Provide 24/7 plant support. (Support shared among 3 controls engineers)
- Ability to operate in fast pace, automotive production environment
- Ability to support multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
