We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team and help design, install, debug, maintain, and document our process control systems. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge in Controls Engineering and ideally have experience and familiarity with various hardware, software, and applications including RSLogix 5, RS Networx for DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet IP, DriveExecutive, DriveExplorer, PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e; 32, RsView Studio, Ford NextGen standards, GM G12 standards, Microsoft Office Suite, and Siemens.Position Overview: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting process control systems.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, debug, maintain, and document process control systems.
  • Develop PLC logic and create HMI screens.
  • Understand electrical and chemical engineering principles in the context of process control systems.
  • Design circuit diagrams and control panels.
  • Create system maps and system architecture.
  • Program and debug process control systems using RSlogic 5000, Ford Nexgen, GM G12, etc.
  • Develop system specifications and panel layout drawings.
  • Debug process control systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience working for a system integrator.
  • Experience with RSLogix 5, RS Networx for DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet IP, DriveExecutive, DriveExplorer, PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e; 32, RsView Studio, Ford NextGen standards, GM G12 standards, Microsoft Office Suite, and Siemens.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC logic and HMI screens.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
