New employees accepting this recruitment bonus\r\nmust commit to two consecutive years of employment with DHSS.� You must be\r\na new employee to the state to be eligible for this incentive.\r\n�\r\nReferral bonuses of $1,000 are\r\navailable to current DHSS employees who refer new hires to the state in the\r\nfollowing classifications: Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing\r\nSupervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and\r\nCertified Nursing Assistant.�Referral bonuses of $1,000 will be paid in\r\nquarterly installments over the first year of hire of the referred applicant.�\r\nNOTE: This program is\r\nadministered by the Department of Health and Social Services. �The program\r\nmay be terminated by the State at any time.\r\nSummary StatementThe incumbent in this position will orient new and current employees to laws, regulations, policies and procedures.� Educate staff of updated policies and procedures.� Develop or update training modules and curriculum to include best practice nursing skills, policies, and regulations. Conduct employee competency and nursing skill clinics at least annually.� Establish and maintain employee training records.� Conduct rounds on treatment units to assure and enforce adherence to hospital policies/procedures and state and federal regulatory standards, coordinating clinical and administrative activities, responding to medical, psychiatric, and environmental emergencies. Promoting a therapeutic milieu based on the principals of the Recovery Model and Trauma Informed Care.\r\nPreferred QualificationApplicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n A strong clinical background and working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design curricula.
