TITLE: Maintenance TechnicianDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceCAMPUS: VacavilleHOURS: VariedPURPOSE AND SUMMARYProvides maintenance support to the Campus Lead Pastors and staff to maintain the health, safety and well-being of the physical structure and grounds of the church.QUALIFICATIONS (at the time of hire)· Must be a current TFH member,· Journeyman level experience in at least one construction trade (general handyman experience acceptable) preferred;· Considerable knowledge of the practices and procedures involved in the carpentry and building trade.· Considerable knowledge of the tools, materials and supplies used in the trade and in their application.· Knowledge of the care and safe usage of power tools.· Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the trade and of the proper use of safety devices and practices.· Ability to work from sketches or blueprints.· Ability to plan, layout and perform carpentry work of average difficulty.· Ability to adhere to tight schedules and still maintain work quality.· Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with a variety of people groups· Ability to work independently with attention to detail· Experience with patching and painting wall surfaces preferredREPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager
Has no supervisory responsibility.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES INCLUDE:· By observation or verbal request, determine a course of action to implement repairs to the building or grounds.· Always obtain verbal or written approval from church staff for any project· Make it a top priority to always consider how any given project may affect church services and plan accordingly.· Coordinate outsourced repairs with specialty trades.· Constructs and repairs tables, benches, cabinets, counters, and other wood equipment and furnishing. Also, builds structures such as small buildings and sheds.· May perform or assist in other related building trades, such as plumbing, painting and electrical work.· Executes purchase orders authorized by the department director.· Helps fabricate special projects as needed.· Performs related work as required and as directed.PHYSICAL DEMANDS· Must be able to lift at least 50lbs· Must be able to work off a ladder.· Must be able to access roof for HVAC equipment inspection.Salary Range: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
