- Hiring, training, and development of the accounting / administrative team.
- General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- Credit and collections.
- Treasury and banking.
- Budgeting, financial forecasts, cash flow projections.
- Inventory control, cost accounting, and standard cost variance analysis.
- Product line and project profitability analysis and reporting.
- Cost estimates in support of sales quoting process.
- Month end close and monthly financial reporting.
- Tracking and reporting of operating metrics
- Working with operations to justify and document capital investment proposals.
- Financial and business analysis as requested by the CFO and operations leadership.
- Departmental spending review and follow up to eliminate waste and ensure appropriate use of company funds.
- Coordinating with outside auditors and providing necessary support.
- Administrative matters such as taxes, insurance coverages, contracts, service agreements, etc.
- Act as the on-site point of contact for Arkansas and Alabama based IT support for the Ripley MS facility.
- 10 years accounting experience in a standard costing based manufacturing environment, including direct responsibility for cost accounting.
- 5 years management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong general IT/network knowledge and skills (i.e. strong technical computer skills)
- Strong data query / mining skills (e.g. MS Access, Power BI, database query / reporting)
- Team player able to enforce performance standards and company policy while maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with all levels of the organization.
