Overview
The People & Talent Coordinator is a key role, responsible for supporting all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and talent management. This position requires a highly organized individual with a passion for HR, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the employee experience.
Accountability Metrics
- Time-to-Fill: Measure the average number of days from job posting to offer acceptance. This metric assesses the efficiency of the recruitment process.
- New Hire Retention Rate: Track the percentage of new hires remaining with the company after a specified period (e.g., 6 months or 1 year). This indicates the effectiveness of the onboarding process and overall job fit.
- HR Record Accuracy: Evaluate the percentage of employee records with no discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and compliance in HR administration.
- Employee Satisfaction Score: Collect and analyze scores from employee surveys or feedback tools, focusing on areas related to HR support and employee relations.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining communication with candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires, including preparing welcome packages and organizing orientation sessions.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
- Support the administration and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Support the office environment to ensure it is supporting the team, ie including supplies and equipment.
- Employee Engagement:
- Leading in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance or escalating issues as necessary.
- Talent Management Assistance:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of talent development programs.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Performance Metrics:
- Leading in compiling HR metrics and data for internal reporting.
- Track and report on key HR metrics such as turnover rates and time-to-hire.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with various departments to support HR initiatives and projects.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and across the organization regarding HR-related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Proven experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
- Experience with HR software and tools, and proficiency in data analysis.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on collaboration and team building.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
