POSITION SUMMARYDevelop software programs for CNC Equipment production. Use 3-dimensional computer designs (CAD models) and/or blueprints that define the configuration of the required component, CNC Programmers use CAM (computer- aided manufacturing) software programs to generate the program code that guides CNC machines to perform machining operations which result in precise finished components – efficiently and safely.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable Accommodations StatementTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.   • Have comprehensive knowledge of equipment, metal cutting and finishing, and characteristics of metal.
  • Ability to work effectively with all personnel and have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write CNC programs on multiple controls.
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC Mills.
  • Thorough understanding of machining principles.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at ALL levels of the Manufacturing Organization.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, manuals, memos, CNC programs and processes.
  • Ability to use developed math, reading, and writing skills within the scope of the job responsibilities.
