Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeThe Student Support and Engagement Director is responsible for student engagement, academic advising and all student support functions for the College. The Student Support Engagement Director monitors program effectiveness in areas of responsibility and implements process improvement strategies where indicated, manages the provision of disability services for students requiring accommodations and in collaboration with the Registrar's Office supports the College commencement activities. Assures that FERPA guidelines are maintained for all student support and counseling function.Responsibilities * Designs best in practice student engagement, academic advising and student support service processes consistent with the mission of the college.
- Monitors the effectiveness of all support services through data collection, creates appropriate dashboards and implements improvement strategies as warranted.
- Manages the provision of disability services including documentation review and accommodation communications for students.
- Facilitates the new student orientations each term in collaboration with academic administration and other college departments.
- Manages the College commencement activities in collaboration with the Registrar's Office and other college departments.
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
