Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Project Accountant 1, we'll count on you to:
  • Take responsibility for client invoicing, AR collections management and project budgeting, as well as assistance on coding and processing A/P, timesheets, and expense reports.
  • Manage, administer, and maintain accurate contract documentation, including entry of fee and budget.
  • Work with business groups and project staff to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues.
  • Utilizing HDR’s project accounting system, work with project management and administrative staff to ensure compliance of contractual requirements
  • Assist multiple project managers and staff daily
  • Perform other duties as needed
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and good telephone etiquette
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • A positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management
