JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEProvides effective respiratory care through approved client assessment, diagnostics, therapeutics and education. Provision of services is initiated by physician order and approved protocols.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONSamaritan Health Services Respiratory Therapy team delivers treatment and diagnostic patient care services to critical and non-critical patients. We serve all age groups and patient populations using evidence-based techniques related to the cardiopulmonary system.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSCurrent registration by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) required.Current state of Oregon Respiratory Care License required.Healthcare Provider BLS required.Two (2) years clinical experience in Respiratory Care preferred.GSR Respiratory Therapy:ACLS required within one (1) year of hire.If responsible for acute care, NRP and PALS required within one (1) year of hire.If responsible for Diagnostic care, Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) required within 18 months of hire.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESPatient Care - Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others.
