We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Lead and provide technical direction to in-house compressor specialists in planned and unplanned turbomachinery repairs and overhaulsSupervise and manage in-house compressor specialists as they oversee contract labor in centrifugal machinery overhauls, repairs and inspectionsOversee the overhaul of rotating machinery in the Gulf Coast and Hydrogen Pipeline BUsIdentify training needs and develop internal resources in the area of compressor and steam turbine maintenancePartner with Reliability Engineers in analyzing machinery vibration data and developing corrective maintenance plans, as necessary.Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs as necessary to ensure proper procedures and inspections are followed and performedManage and maintain the reciprocating compressor overhaul scheduleDevelop project plans and schedules for upcoming overhaulsAssist planner by providing technical input into the planning process. This may include but is not limited to manpower estimation, material estimates, job steps and possible repair techniquesDocument maintenance activities in the CMMS with sufficient detail to accurately reflect machinery historyParticipate in RCFA’s and Vulnerability StudiesProvide technical support on troubleshooting turbomachinery problems and provide recommendations for repairManage the capital spare equipment inventory to ensure timely and quality shop repairsEnsure proper parts are in inventory or sourced for upcoming repair needsLead/participate in compressor performance studiesProvide technical guidance to the Gulf Coast locations regarding turbomachinery operating problemsProvide input into annual budgeting process in regards to upcoming overhaul recommendations and cost estimatesDevelop and maintain work history information on all turbomachineryDevelop and maintain method of assessing equipment condition and make recommendations for repairsIdentify methods to reduce cost of repairs and overhaulsAccountability:100% compliance to ALA Safety standardsComply with all ALA and government regulationsDocumentation of machinery repairs and overhaulsPerforming equipment inspections and develop plans for repair of exceptionsReliability and availability of rotating machineryAre you a MATCH?Requirements:B.S. Degree required in Mechanical Engineering preferredCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
