You will be working on Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) production programs, Seal Beach Customer Support, Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) and/or Defense Space and Security (BDS) Programs.Position Responsibilities:Lead complex engineering programs and/or projects from kick-off to completionLead, plan, identify and coordinate multiple skilled resources (e.g. internal, external and customers) required over the life of the project or programBreak statement of work down into executable tasksCompare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiency, productivity, lessons learned and performance metricsInterpret, analyze and organize complex technical problems, concepts and solutions across multiple disciplines and levels of managementIdentify and capture changes to statement of workIdentify risks, issues, opportunities and corrective actions to improve project or team performanceWork outside of traditional comfort zones where process definition does not exist or is unclearExhibit excellent technical, written and verbal communication skillsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science6+ years of experience in the Aerospace Industry experience2+ years of experience in engineering project planning or project managementAble and willing to travel domestically 20% of the timePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience working for the Boeing Co.1+ years of experience creating standardized documentation and processes.1+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior Project Engineers.Experience with systems engineering practices (requirements definition, risk identification and management, fault tree generation, FMECA, etc.).Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP)Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
