- Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned unit and lesson plans: to support scholars in achieving proficiency in MLS and NGSS standards for Chemistry.
- Facilitate high-quality science instruction using a variety of methods, including technology, labs, personalized learning, and project-based learning, to enhance scholars' understanding and interest in Chemistry.
- Cultivate a positive classroom culture that promotes rigor and enthusiasm for learning Chemistry among scholars.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and support school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
- Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work and meeting deadlines.
- Create an inclusive and inquisitive environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration among students and colleagues.
- Demonstrate creative and flexible problem-solving skills when faced with challenges, while working effectively within a team setting.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification/license in Chemistry (or eligible for certification)
- Prior experience teaching chemistry at the high school level preferred
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and the ability to effectively communicate them to students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
- In-person teaching Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm
- Some weekends and evenings will be required
- Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis.
