SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThis position is intended to provide assistance to branches first when short staffed in order to not compromise member service. Knowledge of all phases of member services and cash handling. Be aware of the requirements of BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Regulation CC as it pertains to their daily job duties.CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Establish membership eligibility; open all types of accounts to include savings, checking, DBA, time deposits, IRA's, trust accounts, etc.
  • Demonstrates a high level of product and service expertise.
  • See the “Big Picture” of member retention and organization growth.
  • Offer alternatives to members and create “win-win” situations.
  • Identify solutions and do the right thing, making sound decisions in resolving account problems and issues.
  • Serve the members' timely, always going the extra mile to make experience fulfilling and satisfying for the member.
  • Counsel and conduct financial reviews and/or advise members regarding loan requests, personal budgets, and family finance. Refer members' to budget counseling centers when needed.
  • Comprehend and comply with all Federal and State lending regulations, and all Partner policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all loan documents are signed and reviewed by processing prior to the members departure.
  • Assist members' with transaction, account problems, questions, accurately and efficiently including but not limited to: checkbook imbalances, removing; adding joint owners, payroll and transfer transactions, research, death claims, safe deposit boxes, etc.
  • Perform transactions as requested by members to include: Deposits, Withdrawals, Transfers, Payments, Statement Prints, etc.
  • Close accounts as requested.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Hold Policy.
  • Perform ALL duties requested by the branch you are assisting, including making outbound calls, financial reviews, and product recommendations.
  • Ensure each step of the secret shops is performed on EVERY transaction.
  • Saturday hours may be required. problems, questions, accurately and efficiently including but not limited to: checkbook imbalances, removing; adding joint owners, payroll and transfer transactions, research, death claims, safe deposit boxes, etc.
RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Must be knowledgeable with all types of loan documents, credit reports, and lending regulations such as Reg B (equal credit opportunity) Reg Z (truth in lending), UCCC (uniform consumer credit code) Reg E (electronic funds transfer) and Reg CC (availability of funds).
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately to serve members in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to tactfully question and actively listen to members, or employees to determine specific needs/concerns and bring resolution to them.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, meet deadlines, work effectively as a team member, resolve problems, soothe irate members, make decisions, and deal effectively with the public.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in verbal and written form.
  • Practices professional written and oral communication.
  • Displays professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work with different levels of management.
