- On-Site Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues within industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and other control systems directly at customer locations.
- Installation and Commissioning: Execute the installation, configuration, and commissioning of industrial automation equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems for optimal functionality.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preemptive maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues, reduce downtime and enhancing system efficiency.
- Customer Empowerment: Deliver hands-on training to clients, empowering them with in-depth knowledge of operating and maintaining industrial automation systems.
- Remote Support: Work closely with the remote support team, leveraging digital tools and communication platforms to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Thorough Documentation: Maintain viable records of service activities, generating comprehensive reports for internal and external use.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industrial automation technologies through ongoing training, contributing to your skill enhancement.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely solutions and effective communication.
- Location & Mobility: Reside in Atlanta, GA, possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, reliable transportation, and a valid passport.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Spanish a plus.
- Educational Background: High School Degree required; Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant technical certification preferred. Directly related work experience will be considered.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLC programming, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, SCADA/HMI, and associated technologies. Experience with Ethernet/IP is a plus.
- Field Experience: Proven track record of successful field service in an industrial automation setting including troubleshooting and on-site support (minimum 3 years, 5 years a plus).
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are essential to effectively strategize work scope, personnel allocation, and equipment logistics. It is imperative to document all work undertaken, time allocation, and materials utilized to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects but also to guarantee transparency.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Step7 Simatic Manager or TIA Portal a plus.
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically and to Canada/Mexico (approx. 45% of the time), rare on-call coverage including weekends and different shifts.
