We are looking for a Project Manager that has experience leading projects throughout the design and construction phases. We are an employee-owned firm where everyone is empowered to use their design voice.As a Project Manager in our K-12 Sector, you will partner with clients, vendors, and consultants as needed to deliver projects on time and on budget. You will lead our studio to provide hands-on supervision to architectural, engineering and design staff. Additionally, you will present and interview in front of clients to win work.Collaboration is key to build relationships across the in-house team as well as our clients! At DLR Group, you would join an innovative team leading the industry in research-based design.The successful candidate will:
- Be able to handle complex K-12 Education projects of the largest magnitude.
- Develop project Work Plans (schedule, budget, cartoon set) for project success.
- Be responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
- Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
- Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on the most complex projects.
- Provides oversight and monitoring of work of less experienced project managers.
- Five years project management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Microsoft Project)
- Experience negotiating and budgeting projects and fees proposals
- Collaborative management style and strong people skills
- Good communication and public speaking skills
- Experience participating in interviews and client presentations
- Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic
- Willing to travel as projects or tasks require
- Licensed Architect
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design from an accredited program
- PM experience working on Education (K-12 or Higher Education) projects
- Experience in Planify and Vision
- Knowledge and use of Revit and AutoCAD
