Job Description:Penacook Place is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and empathetic individual to join our Activities team as a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.***Requirements:PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo lead residents in a purposeful and meaningful program of leisure services addressing the four recreational areas: cultural, spiritual, physical, and social.May include but are not limited to:
Lead and participate in structured
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent
Must have a valid driver's license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Move intermittently
Cope with the physical stress of the position
See and hear or use prosthesis which enables sight and hearing
Perform tasks that involve exposure to body fluids
Able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Able to stand for up to six hours per day
Able to reach heights of 5 feet with or without assistance
Able to bend, squat, or stoop at floor level
Able to read, write, and understand English. Bi-lingual a plus but not required
Able to move unassisted
Able to kneel
