services to program participants in a group and one-on-one setting, especially participants currently
receiving services from another Center for Transforming Lives (CTL) program. The Economic Mobility
Coach works with participants on connecting them with career opportunities, assisting participants with
their personal finances while remaining in contact with participants for outcomes tracking. The Economic
Mobility Coach will also be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with potential
employers. The Economic Mobility Coach trains and supervises volunteers and ensures quality service in
the offering and delivery of career-focused and asset-building products and services to assist the participant
in reaching their identified goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing a caseload of Economic Mobility coaching participants
- Delivers economic mobility coaching in person, by phone, and/or by email as determined
- Facilitates one on one coaching sessions
- Plans markets, and leads classes, training, and workshops
- Maintains complete, accurate, and timely records of program activities and contacts with
- Utilizes database to record required data and create reports to measure progress
- Communicates effectively and timely with the Economic Mobility Services Manager to ensure
- adequate operational knowledge across the department.
- Researches and creates partnerships with new resources to benefit CTL participants
- Presents and participates in community meetings/fairs and groups to ensure knowledge is gathered
- Bachelor of Social Work, other human service-related fields, or business degree preferred
- Experience in the Financial Coaching Model, a strengths-based, results-oriented approach to
- Current Financial Coaching Certification or willingness to attain within the first six months of
- Familiarity with budgeting, banking services, credit, and debt management, asset building, taxes,
- Experience working with entrepreneurs
- Experience generating and cultivating strong relationships with local businesses and other potential
- Experience working with individuals living in poverty
- Experience in Program Development, evaluation, and orientation for continuous improvement
