Description :Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Facilities Technician for our plant located in Ft. Worth, TX. The Facilites Technician performs custodial duties in a manufacturing and office environment. Responibilites may include janitorial, common area minor maintenance throughout building interiors and/or exteriors.Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.Must be able to work 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday with weekends as necessary.What You’ll Do:
  • Perform facilities repairs and maintenance, such as plumbing, painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, hardware, and other related tasks
  • Ensure our grounds and facilities are picked up and free from debris and trash at all times
  • Operate lawn and yard equipment around our facility as needed
  • Operate shop cleaning/sweeping equipment and machinery
  • Operate forklifts to relocate trash bins and other items around the facility
  • Ensure all shop trash receptacles are emptied out as many times as needed throughout the day
  • Ensure cleaning materials are kept in stock and in place where needed
  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors throughout the office building, as needed
  • Perform special projects and tasks, as needed
  • All other duties as needed and assigned
What You’ll Need:
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Previous experience in residential/commercial construction and/or remodeling is a big plus
  • Previous experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required
  • The ability to maintain good attendance
  • The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
  • A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
