- The collection, analysis, and interpretation of faculty, employee, admissions, enrollment, financial aid, grant funding, and instructional activity from enterprise systems; research activity data from Academic Analytics, including historical and comparative data; and survey data collected regularly from undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and alumni.
- Systematic reporting of academic data in response to surveys and inquiries, including those from various college guides and publications, and external agencies including federal IPEDS and state NCHEDS reporting.
- Design and implementation of a system of research reports and dashboard indicators for institutional leadership such as the President and Provost and their staffs; the Board of Trustees; Deans, and those reporting to them, relating to such topics as enrollment patterns, faculty/student data, admissions, financial aid, national rankings, and career placement; and evolution of these reports and dashboards as external and internal circumstances evolve and leadership questions change.
- Design and development of a research agenda, including a program of institutional studies enabling senior officers to evaluate institutional effectiveness.
- Serving as liaison to, and responsibility for data submission to and capture of comparative peer data from, AAUDE, COFHE, Ivy+, and other national and regional associations of institutional researchers; incorporation of comparative data into research activities and products as appropriate; and institutional representation at appropriate institutional research meetings.
- Predictive modeling support for Undergraduate Admissions yield, other predictive modeling support ad hoc, and enrollment forecasting for budget modeling.
- Conducting special studies and analyses, at the request of university officials.
- Collaborate with the Office of Assessment to help track student pathways and student success both during and after graduating from the university.
