Job DescriptionThis is a seasonal position from June 10th - July 26th 2024Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesManaging evening and overnight supervision of participantsGuide/supervise students to/in classFacilitate daytime and evening activities for all summer studentsAttend site visits/and cruises with students on a weekly basisRC positions are live-in positions in co-educational residential communities.Approximately ~39 hours per week.Weekly evening and weekend work requiredAccommodationsYou will be assigned to a double room inside a summer residence hall with a fellow RC staff member.Access to a community kitchen and refrigeratorAccess to community bathrooms or private bathrooms1 allotted vacation day (Monday-Friday)Week off from July 1st- July 5thCompensation$15 per hour paid for Residential Counselor dutiesHousing on campus, valued at $2,358, and provided in exchange for Residential Counselor duties.A breakfast and lunch meal plan designated by the Office of Residential and Dining Services, valued at over $633.50 in exchange for RC duties.Meals are provided when students are on campus during the weekends$125 duck bills a weekRequirementsTraining and Certification in Mental Health First Aid will be provided by Stevens StaffPursuing a Bachelor’s degree with Stevens Institute of Technology1+ years of experience within Pre-College, Residence Life, or related fieldMust be available to work evenings and weekendsMust live on campus in one of the assigned summer residence hallsMust not have any additional jobs or classes during the weeks of employmentWill participate in an on call duty rotation with ~30 fellow staff membersApproximately ~39 hours per week.Essential FunctionsBecome knowledgeable of our summer programs and assist with answering phone calls, and inquiries while in the officeUphold the highest level of customer service when working with participants, families, staff, and faculty.Maintain excellent communication between all pre-college staff, and be able to communicate effectively to fellow student staff members.
