This individual will have the following responsibilities:
- Support executive leadership with real-time insights and reporting on fleet operational and financial performance by conducting strategic analysis, tracking and identifying key performance metrics, and developing driver-based analytics
- Develop Business Intelligence tools which provide insight into business performance (specific focus on Power BI)
- Provide oversight over monthly and annual forecasting as well as variance analysis for executive leadership
- Collaborates cross-functionally with multiple departments - Engineering, Business Services, Business Management, IT - to effectively identify business challenges, creatively problem solve, and align on solutions that drive business improvement
- Owns and leads analysis for executive leadership which requires cross-functional collaboration with demonstrated project management experience; demonstrates excellent communication & presentation skills, has strong experience utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills to lead analysis and exhibits working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and corporate financial systems (SAP)
- Develop and enhance financial models which capture operational and financial metrics and drive long-term business improvement across the renewables portfolio
- Performs all cost accounting activities including variance analysis, standard cost development, activity-based costing, and inventory control
- Provides financial leadership by supporting Operations leadership in decision-making and strategy development
- Supports new lines of business and finds ways to reduce overhead costs per job
- Provides reporting and analysis for all operations activity including productivity, capital and overhead spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and inventory and operations planning
- Prepares and distributes financial reports and indicators and explains financial results to non-financial audiences
- Communicates and explains operational performance through P & L
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues from all departments
- Leads and executes process improvement projects using Six Sigma principles
- Manages internal controls processes and identifies and mitigates control weaknesses
- Extracts, organizes, analyzes, and reports data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions
- Develops broad technical and communication skills through self-study and internal and external training opportunities
