Job Role: Assistant Construction Project Manager/Project EngineerDuration: Full TimeLocation: Indianapolis, IN 46240Role Overview: The Assistant Construction Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Project Manager with planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Help manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain project documentation, including blueprints, permits, contracts, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on the job site.
  • Provide administrative support, including tracking expenses and preparing reports.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
