Structural Engineer (Buildings) – 2 to 4 years of experience

- Design a wide variety of new buildings and modifications to existing buildings.
- Work under the supervision of senior structural engineering staff to design and prepare plans for buildings and other structures.
- Perform structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structural elements utilizing structural design software.
- Prepare structural drawings and check plan details.
- Research and apply code requirements.
- Prepare technical reports and specifications for buildings and other structures.
- Responsibilities may include assisting with structural condition assessments and construction observation, potentially requiring sporadic short-term (typically 1-3 days) out of town travel and overnight stays.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
- Passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam (FE).
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Minimum of 2 years of building design experience.
- Professional registration a plus.
- Experience with Revit and RISA or other structural design software.
- Master’s degree in structural engineering a plus.
