EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEMust be at least 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. Must possess basic mathematical and computer skills. Must have an outgoing, friendly personality. Prefer previous customer service and cash sales experience.SUMMARYThe Host will be responsible for merchandise sales and inventory in gift shop, greeting and assisting guests/bus groups, and participating in promotional events and theme nights.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Merchandise sales/maintain working inventory
  • Cash register opening and closing, Perform cash/credit/and voucher sales, apply discounts/comp sales, responsible for till
  • Greet guest with a smile and assist guest with promotional information, requested items, and tours.
  • Greet tour bus groups, review daily bus group information
  • Answer phones, forward calls, take messages
  • Monitor attendance counts
  • Make announcements
  • Check and safeguard guest coats and belongings (No purses).
  • Sign out Amigo, wheelchair, visitors pass
  • Assists in related items such as guest sign up, staff relief, theme nights, checking guest ID's.
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Working knowledge of 10 key calculator and cash register. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective.
