- Provide Wound-related patient care and treatment
- Intake and or discharge
- Collaborate with registered nurses and/or Physician to administer prescribed medications
- Gather patient information
- Gather necessary equipment and supplies for the Physician
- Communicate as needed with all team members regarding treatments, ancillary tests, patients concerns, etc to guarantee quality of care.
- Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties and other duties as delegated.
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience as LPN/LVN, to include one (1) or more years in SNF or LTACH setting
- Wound care experience preferred
- Must have experience with peripheral venous access(IV)
- Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to exam chair and vice versa
- Ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Time-management, organization and prioritization skills
- Follow-up skills
- Basic Life Support
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Working knowledge of EMR systems
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Strong interpersonal, listening, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving skills and have poise
