Requisition Number50994LocationNashville, TN - Regional-3102Job DescriptionThe Senior Financial Systems Administrator plays a critical role in the FP&A department by overseeing the IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and accuracy of financial data and reporting processes within the organization. Optimize financial planning and analysis activities, provide strategic insights to senior management, and support informed decision-making through effective utilization and enhancement of the IBM Planning Analytics platform. Additionally, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes and systems.Essential Job Duties:
  • Leverage strong background in finance to enhance and streamline financial forecasting and analysis processes.
  • Design, develop and maintain TM1 models, cubes, dimensions, and rules to support budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes. Ensure financial modules are working effectively and efficiently, and that proper security is in place.
  • Utilize Planning Analytics Workspace to develop interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports, enabling stakeholders to access and analyze financial data efficiently.
  • Prepare data sets, statistical reports, and applications to support Finance.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and business unit teams to align TM1 capabilities with financial planning needs.
  • Configure and maintain TM1 system components, including cubes, dimensions, and rules.
  • Partner with IT to perform periodic updates and system enhancements to ensure its efficiency and reliability.
  • Integrate data from various sources into TM1 for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the system.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on TM1 functionalities and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to optimize TM1 utilization.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of TM1 configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with TM1 best practices, industry trends, and advancements in FP&A technology.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Not responsible for supervising employees.
RequirementsEducation & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform including maintaining, development, reporting, and business process optimization.
  • Understanding of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform including Architect, Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) and how to use them to build out planning models, reporting, and other end user applications.
  • Ability to configure and customize TM1 to align with organizational processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, information technology or a related field.
  • IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) certification.
  • Proven experience working with or on Financial Planning & Analysis team including financial analysis, forecasting, or budgeting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
  • Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
