- Work from blueprints, sketches, concepts and verbal instructions to devise and build dies, jigs, fixture and tooling to meet requirements.
- Assist with machining tooling components according to tooling drawing meeting quality and quantity objectives.
- Verify part accuracy by using various precision measuring equipment and gauges.
- Operates conventional tool room machinery and equipment and possesses an understanding of the basic operation and concepts of all CNC equipment. (WEDM, CNC Machining Centers, CNC Sinker, etc.).
- Assist with performing first piece part inspection from tool tryouts and production and diagnose and correct tooling performance.
- Observe all company rules and procedures including housekeeping, quality of work and safety. Read work orders, follows engineering drawings and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties, and
- adhere to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant Tool and Die experience required.
- Basic computer and math skills
- Basic knowledge of tool room equipment is required, examples include: manual drill presses, manual milling machines, band saws, lathes, surface grinders, radius dressers, Conventional EDM equipment, heat treatment, and all precision equipment.
- The ability to read engineering drawings, and comprehend simple work instructions is required
- Willing and able to use both hands for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
- Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 30 lbs on occasional basis.
