JOB TITLE: Foundation & Volunteer Services DirectorDEPARTMENT: Foundation/Volunteer ServicesREPORTS TO: Chief Executive OfficerJOB SUMMARYResponsible for the development, planning, directing, and coordinating all fundraising programs and events at Cody Regional Health (CRH), annual events, annual giving drive, planned giving, and administering capital campaigns in order to meet fundraising goals and objectives. Seek funding through all possible funding sources (individual and corporate donors, grants, foundations).Responsible for the overall management of the gift shop and volunteer services department. Ensure quality and the safe delivery of volunteer services.The Foundation Director is an exempt employee, and is expected to work in the Foundation office Monday through Friday, as well as after hours and weekends as necessary. The Foundation Director reports directly to the CRH CEO, but also works closely with the CRH Foundation Board. The CRH CEO and Foundation Board work jointly to provide the Foundation Director oversight, and are involved in the Foundation Director’s annual evaluation.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.EXPERIENCEMinimum 7-10 years proven healthcare development fund raising experience preferred. Five or more years managing large fundraising events preferred. Proven experience with successful planned gift development, annual planned giving campaigns, and development of capital campaigns. Demonstrated experience raising $750,000 + annually. Demonstrated experience and success in raising multiyear grants from institutional donors. Must provide a portfolio of examples of successful fundraising including funds raised. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, creativity, accuracy, attention to detail and supervisory skills. Must be able to work collaboratively as a member of a team and have experience supervising, coordinating, and motivating staff and volunteers. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines in a timely manner.SKILLS

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSCurrent clean Wyoming Driver’s License.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and manage philanthropic support for Cody Regional Health. Plan, direct, and coordinate the annual giving program, planned giving, grateful patient program, foundation events, and capital campaigns.
  • Develop and administer foundation department policies and procedures and review annually.
  • Responsible for department financial management to include development of annual budget, investment policy and development of monthly financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and harmonious working relationship with hospital staff, foundation board, medical staff, senior leadership council, and community through active participation in community civic organizations.
  • Attend and report at Foundation Board and committee meetings, hospital board meetings, and department managers meetings.
  • Provide unlimited support to the hospital foundation board chairman and event chairpersons.
  • Develop annual department goals and monitor through quarterly report submitted to CEO and Foundation Board.
  • Serve as a public advocate of the CRH foundation, discussing significant public foundation developments with hospital staff, foundation board, and community groups.
  • Capitalize on Wyoming legislative matching funds to foundation when available.
  • Develop and coordinate all foundation internal and external events.
  • Work closely with Marketing and PR in efforts to include hospital volunteers in foundation events in addition to foundation public relations advertising through local media and civic groups.
  • Coordinate foundation board meetings by providing assistance and ongoing education to board, develop board agenda and packets, complete minutes, and provide all other necessary supportive documents.
  • Organize all fund-raising projects and donor recognition program. Ensure process is in place to ensure all donors receive written thanks and appreciation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain, develop and implement written volunteer services policies and procedures. Develop programs related to volunteer needs that have been identified for the hospital. Coordinate recognition program for ongoing volunteer achievement and plan activities to recognize National Volunteer Week/volunteer appreciation events.
  • Attend Medical Staff and Board of Trustees meetings as appropriate to inform and update on listed functions.
  • Develop and maintain written job descriptions/performance evaluations for all departmental personnel.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, etc.
  • Attend department head meetings, etc. as scheduled.
  • Promote and comply with maintaining a safe and secure environment for patient and staff, according to hospital policies.
  • Communicate CRH mission, vision, and values internally and externally.
  • Adhere to all CRH compliance requirements and ensure staff is educated on all compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for presenting the Employee ‘We Care’ giving program to all new employees during new employee orientation.
  • Develop the Foundation Annual Plan that aligns with the CRH fiscal year, and provide quarterly Foundation Plan to the Foundation Board quarterly in April, July, October, and January.
  • Provider a quarterly foundation update at CRH Department Leadership meetings.
  • Responsible for the oversight and administration of the Foundation Department fundraising software program.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and management skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest relation skills by being courteous and helpful to patients/residents, visitors, physicians, hospital staff, community, foundation board, and displays a positive attitude to all.
  • Maintain confidential information concerning all patients, hospital staff, physicians, donors, etc. and adhere to CRH HIPPA requirements.
